3 years of punkins

If you're new here and you think I'm a good waste of 5 minutes a day, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting, and please come back so I can tell my mom I do SO have tons of friends!

My lil punkin at the pumpkin patch! Getting so big :(

And, for the first time this year, he helped carve his own pumpkin. Okay, I did most of it but he did have fun scooping the guts out! Of course, we had to carve a dinosaur, so here it is! The kitty pumpkin on the left is one Stefani and I did together.

What a weekend!

On Saturday morning at about noon, the doorbell rang. I paid no attention, being engrossed in a good book at the time ;), but Mom said, "it's for you!" So I walked to the front door to find....

DH! He flew in from MI to surprise us, and actually just left a few minutes ago for the return flight. What a neat surprise. Lil pill, who had been acting out and really belligerent lately, settled right down and hugged and kissed daddy all weekend. We also got some nice R&R time together and he fell in love with VA.

I haven't updated this since last weekend, when we went to the pumpkin patch. The weather has been so nice and sunny here that it doesn't feel like Fall...but it is! Here are some pics of my lil pill enjoying the pumpkin patch, the 3rd year in a row he's been to one!

at pumpkin patch!

Starting to settle in here, just a quick sec to post after carving pumpkins tonight. I uploaded about 75 pics to shutterfly, so I can update dh on what D's doing. Finally got a TV in my room so I can relax and enjoy late-night TV without having to watch the Disney channel all night before Stef goes to bed. :)

Other than that, not much to report. I have to do some job searching in the morning, and otherwise everything is going well.

The weather is turning a little cold, not compared to MI but for here I guess it's cold. It's pretty nice! I guess I will get to see some sort of Fall after all, the leaves are all changing beautifully even this late in the year.

Okay, ciao for now!

My first post from Virginia

Well, I have been in ole' Virginny for a week today, and finally got all the components to get the computer hooked up. I have been going crazy without my internet fix, and also without being able to look for a job without going to the local library. They have a 1 hour limit, and it takes me about that long to fill out the crazy 9 page applications that the universities seem to want.

D is adjusting pretty well, although he is also cutting his last set of molars all at once (predictably). We are in the same bed again, until dh moves down here and brings our big bed. I am not happy with the situation at all since I was used to my 7+ hours a night in my own bed, but I know this is temporary.

The weather is beautiful here and the people seem to be genuinely friendly overall. I am very happy to be out of Michigan! I only wish dh could be here, but hopefully I will get a job and then his job (already in the works) will come through shortly after that. Our hope is to be all together by Thanksgiving. If we still don't have it all together by then, we will wait until right before Christmas and then dh will leave his job and move down here. (Provided I have a decent job, that is). Absence does make the heart grow fonder, and I am reminded again and again what a good man I have. I am blessed!
