Lil pill…still sick

Day 8 of sickness.  Here are the symptoms:
eye gook–green (getting better)
runny nose–clear
dry hacking cough
fever hovering around 101-102
not eating or drinking much

Anyway, knowing that Tylenol and Motrin aren’t good for longterm use has me in a tizzy.  I need to find something, fast, to help lil pill get better and stay better.  If I didn’t owe the chiropractor so much money, I would’ve been in there already getting him an adjustment.

Then I thought, hey! at least 25 people read this blog on a regular basis.  Surely some of them have had a kid sick with the flu.  PLEASE, bring on yer homemade remedies, from onion poultices to hot toddies.  I wanna hear them.  Or I’ll pout and never talk to you again.

Ohh the flu. We all got it within a half hour of each other. Yikes. Pedilite popcisles (sorry for the spelling) are wonderful, they feel good on the troat and cools you down. Also we got these vics rub plug ins. You plug it in your socket and the the rooms smells up. But it help Ash sleep. I think we got the flu/cold combo. As my mom always says..Eat chicken noodle soup. Poor little guy. It took us 2 weeks to get back to normal :(

Just get him to take as much fluid as you can and let him sleep. Although I don’t subscribe to local remedies myself, people around here swear by smearing your feet with Vick’s and putting socks over it. But then, the same people have also been know to.. on occasion.. eat it.

Kool-Aid and sleep sounds like a plan to me.

He won’t drink soup at all…he’d just rather get dehydrated and hungry. I know it’s good for him!

We are running the humidifier w/ Vicks.
