Fat to Fab Friday
My weight is holding steady at 204 pounds, 71 lost to date. My surg-a-versary, or maybe I should call it newlifeaversary, is less than 2 weeks away. That entire week I’ll be revisiting my fat to fab stories and pics and talking about what life is like then vs. now. I’m hoping to get another 4 lbs. off to meet my goal of 75 down in a year, but wee shall see! Life has changed so radically for me-not just in the weight department-that sometimes I need to look back to remember that it’s real. Otherwise it’s almost like it happened to someone else, if that makes any sense.
Today, though, I’d like to celebrate someone else going from fat to fab. Ruby has lost 23 pounds since she had her surgery 3 weeks ago. She’s back at work and doing well, although getting in the protein requirements is a challenge, she tells me. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers for her.
I’ve noticed lately that I’m eating for comfort–mainly out of sheer frustration at how little I can control my life right now–and although I’m not gaining weight, I’m not losing it either. It’s the mindset that food = love that gets me in trouble. I have lots of frozen fruit in the freezer so this weekend I’ll be drinking smoothies to kind of detox my body a bit. Whether you’re fat or fab, a constant diet of carbs and dairy can’t be healthy. And somehow a 4 year old saying “ooh! squishy!” when he squeezes my arm doesn’t make me feel that healthy either. Definitely time to make time for the gym.
Have a great weekend everyone!

HI
Thanks for stopping by. I hope you aren’t near the hurricanes. If you are stay safe and your doggie too.
Yes maybe that is why Bailey seems frightened.. something abou the weather, cause he usually is right by my side.

Way to go Rach and Ruby! You guys are rockin’! You may not be losing any Rachel, but not gaining is a major accomplishment.
I know exactly what you mean about hte four year old. Mine is constantly giving me zerberts on my upper arms and my side when I’m lying on my side. Lovely.
Hey. How did you get samples of Soap Nuts and how did I miss out on that!?! Curse me, that should never have happened, lol.
Stay dry and safe tonight and tomorrow. I know you’ll be getting it if we are. Hugs.

Jen, I was hoping you’d enter but you didn’t! LOL
Zerbets, eh? That’s a funny name for the squishy squeezies. Yeah, it’s raining hard here. Stay dry yourself!
